Weekly Photo Challenge: Rare

What’s rare nowadays for me is time. That’s what I thought when I saw the theme for last week’s photo challenge. August has been busy with all kind of projects, and I’ll tell you more about one of them later.

But back to “rare”. These are the photos that reflect it best.

This furry friend is from Brazil. We met him when we were getting up to the Sugar Loaf Mountain. This buddy spotted some food and rushed down from the top of the tree to check what that was.

The other image is from out trip to Arizona. They have some seriously huge cactuses.

And these photos are from Eureka, CA. There is one very strange festival arranged there once a year – Kinetic Sculpture Race. According to Wikipedia, it’s a “contests of human-powered amphibious all-terrain works of art”. It’s a lot of fun and it’s very unusual and rare to see something like this 🙂

That’s all for today, and I wish everyone a nice week ahead 🙂

    1. Hi Suvi! This race was something that we discovered by accident too 🙂 I remember going into the cafe hoping to grab some food and seeing a table with 10 people dressed in all blue with a tin foil caps on their heads. I was not sure what was going on 🙂 It was all strange and fun at the same time 🙂

    1. Yes, it was! We only see one part of that as it’s a three day race. We also saw some pretty weird and interesting sculptures on the road as well. All in all – unforgettable experience 🙂
